Safety Is General Plastic & Composite’s First Priority

GP&C’s priority is to continuously provide a safe and healthy workplace. Our culture encourages and supports safety training, following procedures and reporting concerns through ongoing OSHA training and behavior-based safety training. Our team members recognize the extreme importance of safety procedures and reporting.

We continually strive for excellence. Our Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) department provides coaching and training and is always tracking safety metrics, with a goal of zero accidents or safety incidents.

GP&C has a behavioral based Safety observation program, A.W.A.R.E. The acronym stands for:

• Always alert to hazards
• Watch for signs of fatigue
• Attentive to the task at hand
• Ready to assist others
• Educated to work safely

We believe that safety starts with each employee. We continually enhance employee engagement and behavioral-based safety programs so that each employee can take personal responsibility for their part in our Safety Culture. Employees are empowered with Stop Work Authority and we offer multiple opportunities to be a part of our safety committees.
